I also supported the Mid-Atlantic area in Falls Church, VA for almost a year, where I coached the sales team on closing the Bob's way. "I joined Bob's Discount Furniture in 2012 as a Sales Associate. With no prior experience, I anticipated that this would ony be a temporary "job" to add to my resume. Having graduated with a degree in Criminology, I thought I would eventually pursue a career in law enforcement or social work. I have always been inclined to help people, and as the weeks turned into months at Bob's, much to my surprise, I felt a real sense of accomplishment in helping guests turn their residences into a home by choosing the right furnishings. I was able to build long-term relationships among colleagues and guests, and ultimately earned my spot in the 'Best of Bob's" for 8 consecutive years. My passion for helping others as well as my own personal values are truly aligned with the company's core values. While I had much success on the sales floor, I wanted to challenge myself and grow within the Bob's Family. In January of 2021, I transitioned into an Assistant Store manager position at the Farmingdale location. throughout my journey, I was able to help reshape the culture in the workplace, drive exceptional results, and develop new talent among the staff, As a result of my success as an ASM, I have embarked on a new challenge accepting a new role as the Store Manager of the Freeport location."

Bob’s Discount Furniture Named Finalist for ModernRetail Magazine’s ‘Best Use of Emerging Technology Award’

Bob’s tested PebblePost’s Optimized Audiences product to re-engage current and former customers, increase customer lifetime value, and drive incremental return on ad spend (iROAS). Bob’s provided PebblePost with a targeted list of top customers enabling PebblePost’s algorithm to identify a sizable segment of customers with a high likelihood to respond, and thus make a significant repeat purchase. PebblePost then sent Bob’s-designed direct mailers to these audiences.

The results exceeded not just Bob’s goal of delivering more than 25x incremental return, but also everyone’s expectations. Based on the success of this campaign, Bob’s continues to run customer re-engagement programs with PebblePost using this technology.
